ABeam Consulting Malaysia has earned the prestigious Employee Engagement of the Year – IT Services award at the Malaysia Management Excellence Awards 2023, showcasing its unwavering commitment to employee well-being, diversity, and engagement.

In line with its focus on inclusivity, ABeam Consulting implemented Yammer, an enterprise social networking platform, to facilitate private communications within the organisation. This initiative encourages casual engagement and interaction amongst employees, fostering a sense of community.

The company places a significant emphasis on promoting diversity and women's empowerment within its workforce. A remarkable 47% of ABeam Consulting's employees are women, with an impressive 36% of them holding leadership positions. This commitment challenges gender stereotypes prevalent in the male-dominated IT industry.

To enhance team cohesion and productivity, ABeam Consulting introduced the innovative "Hula Hoop Time" programme. This initiative encourages the company’s leaders and employees to dedicate specific time every quarter to fostering team-engagement activities. The annual employee engagement survey, known as “Great Firm To Work – Your Voice Makes A Difference”, allows employees to share their insights and experience, fostering a strong workplace culture with continuous improvement.

Recognising the importance of employee wellbeing, ABeam Consulting strives to offer initiatives that are relevant to the landscape at all times. WELLbinar is one of the programmes conducted monthly, aiming to create awareness on various wellbeing topics from experts. 

Through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), the company monitors key mental health indicators such as depression, stress, and anxiety amongst its employees through a periodic Digital Mood Tracker survey and an experienced therapist for employees to reach out for further support because ABeam believes mental health matters.

ABeam Consulting also engages in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, emphasising “CSR hours” initiatives to enable employees to volunteer in community programmes where they may contribute time, effort, and funds to make a meaningful impact.
